I'm a versatile professional with an an excellent track record of achievement in equestrian management, training and competition.

I am a registered British Dressage (national level) trainer.

I train horses and riders from novice to advanced dressage. I am also an experienced horse trials and show jumping competitor and able to train you for horse trials and grade A show jumping. All my clients find me friendly, knowledgable and approachable. Many have been with me for years and progressed on to the National Championship Finals.  One of my younger clients was in the British team for the 2009 European Pony Eventing Championsips.

I am an international Grand Prix dressage competitor for Ireland..

I have trained with a number of top riders and trainers including Conrad Schumacher, Carl Hester, George Theodrescue and Richard Davidson.

I have both the BHSI Stable Management and Teaching qualifications and managed and developed some large equestrian facilities.

Before being a freelance Trainer, I was the Director of Riding at Millfield (1992 - 1995) and Stonar (1988 - 1992). The experience gained has included:

- one of the instigators and design of the Stonar ISODE event (now part of the Horse Trials calender)
- organising and running competitions - horse trials, show jumping dressage

In the process I have built up an excellent network of equestrian contacts throughout Europe.

I was runner up in the Young Instructor of the Year competition in 1984 and I have a class 1 HGV

I am very flexible in my approach and I am experienced in training all levels. I can come to you, school your horse, give clinics, or if you want, you can come to me (I am based at rushvale equestrian centre).
